Staff | Jon, Joel & Ryan Wimmer

Jon and Joel Wimmer are 2nd generation opticians; they have upheld their father's tradition. Both brothers graduated from Apollo High School and continued on to Anoka Tech to complete the Optical Program.

Jon Wimmer has been a part of the business for 43 years, serving as part owner of Wimmer Opticians Inc. for 33 of those years. Joel Wimmer has spent 40 years in the business with 33 years spent in retail and 9 spent in wholesale optical goods. Together, the brothers became experts in fitting and measuring prescription and non-prescription eyeglasses according to face size and shape.

In addition, Ryan Wimmer joined the team in June 2013 making Wimmer Opticans a 3rd generational business.  Ryan graduated from St. Cloud Cathedral went onto St. John's University where he played football, received a environmental and business degree.  Trying to find his way in the professional ranks, he decided to pursue Wimmer's.
